Midget over the moon to be declared world’s smallest woman
An Indian midget trampled over stiff competition to officially become the world’s smallest woman – leaving her over the moon.
The precocious shortass, Jyoti Amge, made the natural progression to receiving the prestigious title after previously holding the world’s smallest teenager award. But under the Guinness Book of World Record rules the Indian now qualifies for the major title having turned 18 today.
In an emotional address after receiving the highly sought after award, Amge – with a body about the size of two rulers at 24.7 inches – could barely hide her delight at receiving the “extra birthday present”.
“I have put Nagpur on the world map. Now everyone will know where it is,” she said fighting back the tears at her now renowned home town. After receiving her plaque and cutting a cake Amge revealed that after studying for her degree she wants to hit Bollywood. And being such a freak who would bet against her making it big time.
In truth she doesn’t even need to go to university, with it even being suggested they could put her in a zoo for people to stare at like they did with the Elephant man creature, and just watch the cash roll in.
What makes this heart-warming tale stand out is the way she is just so oblivious to her life being a succession of pain and misery. As one source said: “She can’t do anything for herself, people are always accidentally treading on her head and I think she finds it hard to develop intimate relations, what with her not even coming up to most mens’ knees. It wouldn’t be so bad if she came up to somewhere near their waist but she’s way off.”
The title of shortest woman in history is still held by Dutch woman Pauline Musters between 1876 to 1895, who registered in at a commendable 24 inches small. Not wanting to be greedy having just taken the world title, Amge privately still holds out hope that one day she may somehow go on to reach the pinnacle.
The source added: “She wouldn’t admit it in public but it’s true to say she has designs on being the smallest woman ever in history. I think she’s hoping she’ll get a bone crumbling disease at some stage of her life, resulting in her spine – and therefore body – shrinking.
“She’s content with what she’s achieved so far but she won’t rest until she’s got the big one – so to speak.”
Once in the running for both junior and adult titles were sisters Jo and Lauren Deeks, who just fell short but don’t hold any animosity toward Amge. “She’s earnt that title so good luck to her,” Lauren said.
